Winter Holidays
ReplyDeleteWinter holidays bring joy for children all over the world. Children experience activities that are totally different from their summer vacations. They enjoy the opposite weather, different food and and different dressing. Even their traveling during winter is quite opposite to that in summer.
Like all children, I was anxiously waiting for the winter holidays. My mom had given me the glad news that our cousins are coming over to spend their vacations here while my dad told us that we are going to spend a weekend in Muree.
The best things that we enjoyed was the daily breakfast of mom's delicious layered parathas with fried eggs and coffee early morning, hot soup in the evening and eating peanuts and chilgozas in the night while tucking ourselves into the blanket telling stories to each other. During day time, we were mostly busy watching online Disney movies.
The trip to Murree was a true excitement. There was snow all over the city. Dad drove slowly to avoid any accident as the roads were very slippery. We were all wrapped up in layers of undergarments, shirts, jackets, mufflers, gloves and socks and boots. As dad was busy checking in to the rest house, we asked our mom's permission and ran to outside to the snow and made snowmen. We traveled around the hills but there nothing to be seen but snow everywhere. Dad rented out a sledge for us to slide down the sloping area around the rest house. Those two days were real fun.
On the tenth day, our cousins left us. I wish if winter vacation lasted longer and we could enjoy more of such fun.

Last winter, with my family I had gone to Muree for holidays. That was a very memorable moment for me. It was a three day vacation in Muree.With my parents, my brother and one of my cousin had gone. It was winter of December and we went northwards to north it became cold.It was very enjoyable in the toy train and was very exciting. The roads were wide and the train was slow. The hills were beautiful. We were going up in the Himalayas. Below it was lush green, with some terrace cultivation and some forests, and above the lofty Himalayas, with snow peaks.
ReplyDeleteIt took us almost 1 hour to reach Muree from Islamabad. I was tired and took a nap. Suddenly my cousin, Neha woke me up. It was evening, she insisted me to see outside. Wow! It was very beautiful. It was very bright. All the bulbs were on. It seemed to me like heaven. I felt good and all my tiredness was gone.
At 8 0’ clock in the evening, we reached Muree. It was very cold. My father had booked a hotel. We took our dinner and slept. It was very cold. My mother had put three blankets and I slept quite well due to the tiredness. By 7 a. m. we woke up. It was very cold so the water pipes were jammed, so we had to finish our work with little water. The morning sun was soothing, and the buttered Aloo Parathas for breakfast was delicious. We had hired a taxi to go to Aptabad. Last night there was snow fall and Aptabad was very beautiful to see.
It took us one hour to reach Aptabad. Suddenly I felt cold in my face and saw ice flakes for the very first time and had only seen on television and felt ecstatic. We hired gum boots to walk in the snow. As we got up the snow increased. It was thrilling and had never seen so much of snow except in a refrigerator! All the surroundings were covered with blanket. We played there, throwing snow balls to each other. Neha and I tried to meet snow man but in vain. And then, we had to go my cousin was very sad I was sad too. They were my best winter holidays and I enjoyed a lot in those three days!

ReplyDeleteThis winter holidays I went to U.A.E. I visited Dubai and I lived in RAMADHA JUMIRAH which is a five star hotel. First I visited the Dubai mall which is one of the biggest mall in the world. There were 1000 shops and a huge food court. I saw the dancing fountain which was awesome. Then I went to Ferrari world and it was really awesome. My first ride there was a Ferrari simulator called ` Racing with the champions’. Then I went on the roller coaster which was a really fast one. Then I rode a really slow car In which we drive our self and have a little tour of Italy called bell Italia. Then I went on the 5d ride which follows wild adventures in different lands. Then I saw the amazing fireworks at Burj Khalifa at 31 December which broke the world record . Then I went to marina walk were I sat in a boat which was cool. Then I went to JUMIRAH beach were I built an awesome sand castle and swam. Then I went to Sega republic were I won prizes and played games like zombie house, death raiders , dog fight planes and racers underground. Then I went to watch the dolphin and seal show. First the seal trainer made the seals dance, sing , jump out of the hoola hoop and made them spin the ball with their mouth. Then dolphins did the same things . Then I came back to Pakistan and told my father I enjoyed and wanted to go again next time.
What I did in my winter holidays
ReplyDeleteI was really looking forward to my winter holidays because we had two tough weeks of exams and preparations and I had few plans for my winter holidays.
For the first few days I relaxed at home, played play station and cricket with my brother and cousin. Then we went to Lahore for my father’s cousin wedding. It was such an exciting trip as all of my cousins were going together and we had fun all the way in our cars. We all stayed together on the same floor of a big hotel. We had all the freedom to play around and stay up till late night.
On the first night of our stay, we went to this huge lavishing Mehndi function which was real fun for me. They had a big bouncy castle under the warm tent for all the kids and it was a very different experience for me as I never enjoyed wedding function in past. They had different activities for the kids to keep us busy.
Next morning, I went to Lahore Zoo with all my cousins. It was a nice sunny day and we had a good 3 hour trip to Zoo and played with many animals there, and had a ride on elephant. We also saw elephant show. The tiger and lion shows were brilliant. Afterwards we had our lunch at Mcdonalds. Playing and eating with so many cousins was the main fun for me on this trip.
Later in the evening we went to the wedding, and again it was a really nice get together for all the kids. The wedding finished a bit earlier today so all of the kids were taken to ice cream by my dad.
I really enjoyed these winter holidays and they were one of the best I had.
Our winter holidays started right after our mid-term exams. The teacher didn’t give us much homework, so we planed different activities with our friends. Our old friends were visiting us from America. Their names were Zainab and Zoha. They were in Islamabad for a week. We took them to the Zoo. We had lots of fun. We saw a wolf, and then we saw an elephant. Then we saw a wolf and then we saw a peacock. After all of this we sat down and we had our snacks and we went home.
ReplyDeleteThe next day we went to Play Land. We sat on a boat swing. It went very high. There were jumping castles and bouncy slides. Then we went on a trampoline. It was lots of fun. But then it was getting dark. So we went home.
One day my mother got me markers. She got me a pack of 24 markers and a set of blow markers. My friends and I were coloring. We had fun.
One day I opened my spin art. It was almost like painting, but it was much cooler.
One time my mother had got me paints. I had made a Happy New Year card for my family. They loved it.
My parents had bought me a set of string bracelets. There bracelets which you have to make with string. I made them with my friends. It was pretty hard. But I still liked it.
This winter break I also worked on my book collection.

ReplyDeleteMy winter holidays started after our mid-exams. My family planned to go to Murree, in our winter holidays. On our way to murree we enjoyed the fresh air.
When we Got there, The snow had fallen on the ground, and it was so cold after a while i felt hungry so my father took us to a rest house. My father bought a pizza and drinks. We all ate it in the rest house. Then after eating it we went out to the ground to have snow fight. My brother threw a basket full of snow at me and i slipped then I threw snow balls at him. We had snow fight for a very long time. We did snow scating. Then after a while we got tired so we went to have some tea, and pakora's, because it was very cold. After eating we went for horse riding. Me, my brother and my Sister had a race with our horses. I came 2nd. My brothers horse slipped at a turn. But it didnt fall down. He continue racing. Atlast It was evening and we went back to our rest house. At night we watched horror movies, and ate popcorns and snacks.
Then we slept at 1:00. Then in the morning we woke up at 10:00 because it was cold sowe could not wake up early. We had aur break fast with puri's and daal. Then we went for shopping, we bought many things and then while returning back to islamabad, on our way back we saw snow so we made snowman's took pictures and then we finally planned to come back.
It was my Best winter holidays, I really enoyed and i thanked my father for such a Nice trip to Murree.

Every day I used to go somewhere I want to my grandmother’s house there was dinner and some tasty cookies the next day I want to park there were many rides for but when I was going to take a rides I accidently
Fell down so I went to the doctor and he said me to rest so I couldn’t take any ride in the park I went while my sister and my cousins took all the rides on Wednesday I went to a restaurant there my parents said me to eat when I ate it was really hot. I visited many places and had so much fun that no one had in his winter holidays I loved my winter holidays so much that I never forgot them.

i played game all the time and i buyed a new remote and a new game i ended the game because it was very small and funny i went to fun city there i got 200 tickets from that i buyed a car which was for 200 tickets! then i went to my friend house i had a lot of fun andi played on my friend ipad cool games and then we watched horor moviesand we ate popcorns and 7 up while watching it it was very horor the movies name was grudge 3 then i went to a zoo which was soo good i saw lions,tigers,wovels,white tiger,.bears parriots and these were my best winter holidays!

An oil well on fire can be terrifying and extremely dangerous. even after you put out the fire, if the oil is gushing, there is a dangerous that it will burst into flames again at any moment, so the well also need to be capped- like turning a tap off . RED Adari has put out around 1000 oil fires around the world including the piper alpha disaster in north sea in 1988, and 628 oil well fires in kuwait after the first gulf war in 1991. Our winter plan emerged when we went to watch the movie ‘Frozen’, the snow in the movie made us feel like going to mountains and snow, so we planned a trip to Bhurban, Pearl Continental with my cousins, grandmother, sisters and my mother.
My Granny bought us doughnuts and candies for the journey. There were three cars in the journey. I was with my granny and cousins car. I learned that there were two paths one was an expressway and the other was a old and bumpy road. We took the old road but my mother asked us to go via expressway so we had to turn around and go to the expressway. We reached PC one hour later, we had booked two rooms. We rested a little and then went outside for a friendly game of basketball even though it was dark; we had a lot of fun. We then went towards Play area and played on the slides, swings and merry-go-rounds then we went to explore other places we found a stage that was really huge. Then we went to the theatre and watched a movie afterwards we went to the musical hall and listened to some traditional songs.
The next day we discovered a Helipad and a mountain track. My sister had made a friend there and we had an ice block lifting competition with her.
Afterwards we went to Nathia Gali and had a snowball fight; the girls were on one side and the boys on another. Afterwards we headed home, the journey ended with a memorable family dinner.
It was a wonderful experience and I enjoyed it alot.

her house so I enjoyed a very sunny day there.
Next day we all went to Khanpur dam.It was very famous for its Orange
Farms.I was very excited to see alots of orange trees. We picked a lot of
Oranges from trees and eat .There were different kinds of oranges there.We brought dozens of oranges with us.On our way back we enjoyed fried fish.On my third day there we went to watch a Disney animated movie Frozen.it was about two sisters love.i enjoyed it a lot.
After three days we came back.And I start preparing for my school reopening.
My winter vacations
ReplyDeleteFor my winter vacations my family and I planned to go to Bahrain. My mother packed the bags. Our flight was on Monday 23rd of December. We reached there in evening. Our grand father came to receive us at the airport.
we lived in our grandfather`s house in ‘Manama’ the next day we went to mega mart. I also went to fun city in mega mart and I saw a big colourful bird. I went on every single ride in fun city. We also bought some clothes and toys. I also bought some gifts for my friends and especially for “my best teacher Arooj Iqbal”. In mega mart I entered a lucky draw and surprisingly I won. I got a remote control helicopter. They also took photos of me with Mickymouse. We went to every single mall in Bahrain. I saw many new things such as bullet train.
It was time to go back as school was about to start and I had to do my homework. When i reached home I showed pictures of our trip to my friends and teacher and gave them gifts. I enjoyed my winter vacations very much.
Our Winter Holidays
ReplyDeleteOur winter holidays started after our Mid-Term Exams, I was very happy when it started. In the first two days I stayed at home but I played on my computer, I watched movies on the computer, on my brothers Xbox and red some books about Egypt it was very fun and interesting. On the third day went to the Domenico saw the mountain and all of my family had pictures in the Domenico. We went Muree and it was very cold, we made an ice-man, we went to the hotel and the food service was so bad so we went to KFC and we really enjoyed as we returned my brother was ready to open the Xbox so when we reached we played for some time and we watched some movies despicable me 2,Rio, hotel Transylvania, and many others e went to our friends for 1 night we were having extreme fun however we returned home but my brother was felling unhappy or no reason then went to metro market for shopping and tried many kinds of food. We went to Fatma Janah part the next day we tried all the slides and we left at the end of the day and directly to B.BQ to night this was my winter vaction I wish you like it.

My Winter Vacation
ReplyDeleteWinter break is a time when we finish our exams for midterm and take a little break from school. We get to relax, sleep late, wake up late, eat what we want, and sometimes go somewhere for vacation. My winter Vacation was a little different it was a learning experience, an experience that I wanted to share with my school friends.
My winter vacation was full of surprises starting right afterschool on December 23rd when my sister and I were told that we would be spending the holidays with our Dad. We were so excited and we started to plan what we were going to do when we get to our Dad’s house. My sister wanted to get a Christmas tree and decorate it but my Dad didn’t allow us to get one instead he took us shopping. We shopped all day and we bought so many toys when we came home we counted the toys we had bought 120 different toys. We thought that all the toys were ours but when we came home my Dad told us that we have to wrap all the toys, so we wrapped the girl toys with pink paper and the others with green and blue paper. We were very confused and didn’t know what Dad was up to. On December 25, Dad took us to for drive he had put all the wrapped toys in the truck but we didn’t know that. We stopped by a village near Islamabad and he told us what we were going to do. This was a very Christian village and there were a lot of kids there and we were told to give the toys to these kids. At first, we didn’t like the idea but when we saw how happy the kids were after getting their gifts we felt very happy. My sister and I were like Santa Clause for them. The parents of these kids were very happy as they prayed for us with tears in their eyes. On the way back home, my Dad told us that Christmas is about giving and you don’t have to be Christian to give during Christmas. We did many fun things during our vacation but I wanted to share this experience with everyone because I never thought that giving could be so much fun!
I always get excited when I get a gift but this past Winter break I felt the excitement in giving. I learnt that we are blessed by Allah for the things we have and that there are people who don’t have as much as we do and whenever we get a chance we should try and share what we have with people who have less.
